Frequently Asked Questions.
Straight answers about what North Flight does today, what it costs and what depends on your providers.
Getting Started
What is North Flight?
North Flight is a white-label flight booking SaaS platform. It gives travel businesses their own branded flight booking website, an agent portal and a dashboard, without building a booking engine from scratch.
Who is North Flight for?
Travel agencies, entrepreneurs, independent travel advisors, travel companies and travel creators who want to sell flights online under their own brand.
How do I get started?
Create an account with your agency name, email and a website address. Your website and dashboard are ready straight away, and you can brand and publish the website when you are ready.
Do I need technical skills?
No. Branding, content, pages, pricing rules and domains are managed with forms in the dashboard. Connecting a custom domain needs access to your domain's DNS settings.
Pricing and Billing
What is included in $49/month?
The North Flight Starter plan includes your white-label flight booking website on a standard theme with your logo, custom domain support, responsive flight search, the booking and enquiry dashboard, customer records, markup rules, up to 25 team logins and SEO settings. Access to supported inventory connectivity is subject to provider onboarding and activation.
Is the $20 frontend customization fee monthly?
Yes. Custom Frontend is a recurring add-on of $20 per month on top of the Starter plan. It covers design adjustments within the platform's supported design options, not unlimited bespoke development.
Does each additional API cost $49/month?
Yes. Each additional supported flight API is $49 per month. Two additional APIs are $98 per month on top of the Starter plan. The add-on does not include the provider's own fees.
Are there transaction fees?
North Flight does not charge a booking fee. Suppliers, ticketing providers, settlement services and payment processors may charge their own fees, which are agreed and billed between you and them.
Are airline inventory charges included?
No. The subscription covers the North Flight platform. Any charges from airlines, GDS providers, consolidators or other inventory providers are separate.
Are payment processing fees included?
Your North Flight subscription is billed through Stripe at the published price. Fees for processing your own customers' payments, when you take them, are charged by your payment provider and are not included.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. New agencies get a 10-day free trial with no card required to start. During the trial your website uses the basic design, up to 3 team logins and 200 searches a day; custom domains are available once you subscribe.
Can I change my subscription later?
Policy awaiting approval
Yes. You can subscribe to the Starter plan from your dashboard at any time. Add-ons are arranged with our team today, so contact us to add or remove one. The rules for mid-month changes are being finalized.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Policy awaiting approval
Yes. Company admins can cancel at any time from the Billing page in the dashboard, which opens Stripe's secure billing portal. Whether a cancellation applies immediately or at the end of the billing period, and any refund terms, are set out in the billing policy, which is awaiting approval.
Which currency are prices in?
All North Flight prices are in US dollars (USD).
Website Customization
What can I customize on the Starter plan?
Your logo, business name, homepage text, about and contact sections, highlights, your own content pages and your SEO settings. Your website uses a standard professionally designed theme.
What does the Custom Frontend add-on add?
Our team sets up design adjustments within the supported website designs, such as the choice and order of homepage sections and additional content pages laid out for your brand. The scope is confirmed with you in writing before work starts.
Can I add my own code or a completely custom design?
No. North Flight is a hosted platform, so changes are made within supported options. This keeps every website secure and up to date.
Flight Inventory
Where does the flight content come from?
From supported inventory connections that North Flight has configured and verified. Each capability, such as search or booking, is tested and approved separately before it is used.
Is access to a specific airline or provider guaranteed?
No. Access depends on the provider's approval, your commercial agreement with them and technical compatibility. An Additional Flight API subscription does not by itself guarantee access to a particular provider.
Do I need airline or consolidator approval?
Usually, yes. Most providers require their own agreement, and some require accreditation or documents before they grant access. We can explain what a provider has asked for in similar cases, but the approval is theirs to give.
GDS and NDC
Can I connect my existing GDS?
Possibly. If you hold your own GDS account, we assess whether it can be supported technically and commercially. If it can, it is connected as an Additional Flight API at $49 per month. GDS fees remain between you and the GDS.
Do you support NDC?
NDC connections are assessed per airline or aggregator. Each airline controls access to its NDC content, so availability depends on that airline's approval.
What is the difference between GDS and NDC?
A GDS aggregates content from many airlines in a long-established format. NDC is an IATA standard that lets airlines distribute their own offers, often with richer content, directly or through aggregators.
Ticketing
Does North Flight issue tickets?
North Flight does not issue tickets itself. Ticketing is done through a supplier, and it is switched on for that supplier only after its integration has been verified and your approvals are in place. Until then your customers send enquiries and your team completes the booking.
Will customers receive a ticket number from my website?
Only when ticketing is active for the supplier and the supplier confirms the ticket. North Flight never shows a booking reference or ticket number that a supplier has not confirmed.
Payments
Can my customers pay on my website?
Not yet. Online traveller payments are planned. Today your website collects enquiries and you arrange payment with your customer directly.
How is my subscription paid?
By card through Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored by North Flight.
Domains and SEO
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on the subscribed plan you can connect up to 2 domains you own by adding DNS records. Every website also has a free yourname.northflight.us address.
Is my website SEO friendly?
Yes. You can set page titles and descriptions, control indexing, add redirects and verify your site with search engines. A sitemap and robots file are generated for your website.
Support
How do I get help?
Open a support ticket from your dashboard, or email support@northflight.us. Before you sign up, use the contact form.
Will you help me connect a provider?
Yes. Provider connections are configured and tested by our team. Additional APIs are an add-on at the published monthly price.
